Florida Automated Vehicles

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) organized the first Florida Automated Vehicles Summit in Tampa, November 2013. I branded and produced marketing materials for the 2013 (Tampa) & 2014 (Orlando) annual summits hosting nearly 1,000 attendants from eight different countries and 22 states.

The 2014 summit spanned from end-to-end at Walt Disney World’s Speedway with two dozen demonstrations and exhibits ranging from Tesla’s connected vehicle technologies, a submarine, to off-road military tank automation.

The Florida Automated Vehicle Summit branding was one of my favorite, and most challenging projects. Automated Vehicle technology is groundbreaking, vast and uncertain which posed many hours of research prior to being able to create materials.

Materials I designed and managed the production of include an exhibit booth, car magnets, flyers, email blasts, swag (air fresheners, pens, koozys, etc), participant programs, presentations to market the event, social media content, on-site signage, and a dozen 16′ flags.

Excellence In Teamwork

The Florida Automated Vehicle Summit was a large-scale project that utilized our team to plan, prepare and host the 2013 Summit along with working group meetings. The Florida Department of Transportation Intermodal Systems Development Award committee presented this award to myself and 8 of the other individuals responsible for the success of the FAV Summit.
